Step 6:
REPLACE HOMEPAGE SLIDESHOW IMAGES (optional): | More details
The homepage (index.html) includes a jQuery responsive slideshow application. In the "JQuery" folder replace 6 images, "imageJQR-1.jpg" through "imageJQR-6.jpg". Make your images 1000 x 425 pixels. This will update the homepage animation. Click the link above for details and options.

Edit the "paypal@your-web-domain.com" in this page with your Paypal e-mail and you can use this page to accept custom payments by sending clients a link to this page and having them fill in the amount on the payment page. To remove the form, delete the code between the notes for the Paypal form in the "payments.htm".

Step 9:
SETUP GALLERY & CART: | Gallery setup help | Image text editing
Because this template includes a slideshow for each gallery, plus text with each image, the best way to setup the images in the gallery is not to actually edit the gallery HTML pages and change the picture names on each individual page. The fastest way is to simply replace the pictures in the "gallery" folder with your own by overwriting the files that are in there now and using the same generic names.

Gallery thumbnails, named "gallery?-?.jpg" in the "gallery" folder, are 150 x 100 pixels in size. Gallery large closeup view images, named "Fgallery?-?.jpg", are 700 x 467 pixels. You can make these images any height you would like, but the 150 and 700 widths can only be changed by editing the "style.css" (see notes in the css file to find these width classes).

Click here to not use text in the viewer with your images and for other options.

EXAMPLE: SETUP GALLERY IMAGE 1-1: In the "gallery" folder replace the "gallery1-1.jpg" with a 150 x 100 thumbnail image. Replace the "Fgallery1-1.jpg" with a 700 x 467 .jpg of the same image. In the "gallery_pages" folder edit the "Fgallery1-1.htm" with your item details and order button details (see next step). Now open the "gallery1.htm" page and check the first image on the page, click on the image to see that it is setup. Your first image will be setup and you can proceed to gallery image 1-2. Click links above for more details.

SETUP "gallery-home.htm" PAGE: This page is an index of your galleries.

See watermark and viewer options below.

Step 10:
PAYPAL SHOPPING CART SETUP (TYPE 2 FORMS): | More details
Paypal shopping cart forms have been included in the "Fgallery?-?.htm" pages in the "gallery_pages" folder. Follow the steps below to setup the shopping cart pages. This template includes "Type 2" Paypal forms.
  1. Setup a Paypal merchant account.

  2. Edit the "paypal@your-web-domain.com" in the "header.js" in 1 place (near the top) with your Paypal e-mail. This will update the view cart button.

  3. You will edit the "5290739" in each form in the "Fgallery?-?.htm" pages in the "gallery_pages" folder with your generated product number and edit or remove the options. This will be the following code:

    <input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="5290739">

You only need to edit the "hosted_button_id" code and the options text.

Setup the 1st form: Edit the Paypal form in the "Fgallery1-1.htm" page. Find this note "START PAYPAL FORM 1-1". Click here for steps to setup the forms.

  4. Edit all forms as shown on the Paypal Type 2 Forms setup support page in the html pages in the "gallery_pages" folder.

  5. The "Fgallery?-?.htm" pages in the "gallery_pages" folder include options for the Paypal forms. These options can be edited or removed. See the Paypal Type 2 Forms setup support page.

  6. Your optional return page is named thanks-payment.htm. Include a full link to your domain to this page if you use the return option when generating the forms. You can optionally not set this while generating forms and use the Paypal default return page.

Step 11:
SLIDESHOWS SETUP: | More details
Images in the 6 slideshows correspond to the images in the 6 galleries and are setup when you edit the gallery images in the step above.

The slideshows use a "responsive" jQuery script located in the "jQuery" folder. You can add and remove images in the slideshow 1-6 .htm pages. Click link above for details and options for the responsive slideshows.

SETUP "slideshow-home.htm" PAGE: This page is an index of your slideshows.

Step 12:
EDIT DYNAMIC FAQ PAGE: | More details
In the "faq.htm" edit the text between the "FAQ 1" notes area for FAQ question #1. Edit only the question and answer text and do not delete any of the other code in this area. Edit or remove the other FAQ questions on this page.

Step 13:
EDIT PAGES: | Software choices | Notepad editing
Edit the text in all HTML pages with your website information. You can use Expression Web, Frontpage, Dreamweaver, any wysiwyg HTML editor or a text editor like Notepad. Take care not to delete any of the HTML tags that surround the text.

Step 14:

Open each of the HTML pages and change the titles (at the very top of the page) and also the description and the keywords with your product or service details. You can edit one page and copy and paste to the other pages. Be careful to only change what's inside the "" so you don't disturb the html code. Page titles are important so your site will get a good listing at Google, Yahoo! and other search engines.

Step 15:
UPLOAD: | More details
Upload the pages on to your hosting company's server using ftp software or Windows Explorer or your control panel. Be sure to upload all template files and folders and all files inside the folders. You do not need to upload the "extras" folder.

The Media Queries Responsive Code

More details | MQs in this template control many parts of each webpage to conform for mobile and tablet. The responsive MQs css classes are located in the "media-queries.css". Three stages are used for screen widths of 890, 740 and 482. As the browser width is made more narrow and each "stage" width threshold is reached, code defined in the "media-queries.css" will take effect changing the webpage layout. You can edit these sizes in the "media-queries.css" using any plain text editor.

The right sidebar is setup to not display on mobile using "#sidebar-content display: none;" in the "media-queries.css".

Mobile Menu: The mobile menu includes only one "stage" width threshold of 640 in the "menu-drop.css". It will stack the menu items when viewed on smartphones. See "MENU EDITING" below and also testing MQs in support.

The "media-queries.css" is for mobile and includes some of the same class names as the "style.css" to alter these classes as the browser width becomes more narrow.

When editing any font sizes in this template you will need to edit the class in the "style.css", then edit the duplicate class in the "media-queries.css" to setup the mobile font sizes. See responsive support details.
